"Oh So Simple...Oh So Delicious"
Makes: 12 Dumplings
DUMPLINGS
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp golden syrup
1 beaten egg
1 cup SR flour
¼ cup milk
Using an electric beater, mix the butter into the flour, then add the egg, milk and golden syrup. Mix together to form a soft dough.
SYRUP
1 cup water
½ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp golden syrup
1 Tbsp butter
Place ingredients in a microwave safe dish and microwave on high for 3-4 mins.
METHOD
Using 2 teaspoons, drop small spoonfuls of the dumpling dough into the hot syrup. Cover and cook on high for a further 5 mins, gently turning the dumplings half way through.
Serve with cream or ice cream :)
